Under 21 represent England in Canada

Tigers ambassadors are jetting off to Canada next week on a reccie ahead of next year’s massive football tour.

Under-21 manager Neil Woolliscroft, Shropshire FA’s Mick Murphy and coach Adam Minshall fly out to Vancouver on Wednesday to present their case to the British Columbia Soccer Federation’s annual conference.

They’ll then fly to the Campbell River club to meet their director of soccer to confirm the itinerary.

And there was even more good news for Tigers this week. They scooped £1,250 from the Muller Community Trust towards their tour and the whole master plan for fame took another massive leap forward with the help of Manchester City.

City featured the club in their programme so their name is now being banded around the Premier League.

Travel agents Thomas Cook are Tigers’ Tour sponsors as well as official sponsor for City.

Neil said: “We really want to get organised.

“Next year’s tour is so massive we want everything to be just right so we’re going over to speak to the major movers and shakers in Canada.

“This is massive one for Tigers but also really good for Market Drayton. We’re on the map now, especially after getting our article published in Manchester City’s programme.”

The trio return on December 19 when they will announce the tour teams and fixtures.

2007 Super Six is officially an International tournament.

Tigers have confirmed a South African team will be entering the 2007 Super Six competition in June. The Tigers are working with the Grove School to fund raise to ensure the school team from Cape Town can participate.

Lots of fund raisers are planned for the coming months so watch this space.
